Just as 43°N 114°W represents our valley as a whole,
so too does the team behind it.
Georgia Hutchinson
Creator of 43°N 114°W.
Believer, encourager, and celebrator of the ability of people to achieve their unlimited possibilities.
In retrospect, she has nurtured this concept since collaborating with an enthusiastic group of aspiring women hockey players and starting the Sunsets in the early 1980s. Then followed many joyous years in the valley on numerous incredible teams of women’s hockey, coed hockey, Ketchum coed softball, and every possible local golf club championship. Competed in numerous IGA, PNGA and USGA events. Playing the games she loves with fellow comrades and like-minded athletes, as well as running in the mountains, brings her complete joy.
2007, 2008, 2012: Qualified for the USGA Women’s Senior National Tournament
2009, 2013, 2015: USA’s Hockey Over-50 Tier I National Champion

Sloan Storey
Sloan was fortunate enough to be born and raised in the beautiful Wood River Valley where she grew up chasing her 4 older siblings around soccer fields and down ski slopes. She is enthusiastic about all things sports and outdoor recreation, but finds her passion in Nordic Skiing, soccer, and all things being in the mountains. Sloan competed for the University of Utah NCAA ski team where she was a seven time NCAA All-American and competed with the US Ski Team in the 2014 and 2015 World Juniors Championships. After graduating from college, retiring from competitive ski racing, and traveling for a bit, Sloan decided to come back to her roots to give back to her community by working for The Hunger Coalition as well as coaching for SVSEF Nordic programs. You can usually find Sloan outside, moving and challenging her body through multiple outlets. She is inspired to help motivate our local females to push their boundaries, take advantage of our beautiful landscape, and MOVE. Especially together!
Joanie Whitman Rumpeltes
Joanie has had a life-long love of sports. And being the youngest child in an active family she has been trying to keep up with the gang her whole life. While striving to become proficient enough to enjoy numerous sports, her main sport’s love is hockey - not because of how she plays the game but the rewards that the friendships & team camaraderie has provided in her life. Her motto - "better to be lucky than good" and luck has shone brightly on her here in Sun Valley.
